If feels so hard to me to look at this picture. When I see pictures of Noah before 12/14/12 he is that energetic little kid and every picture of him brings a lot of joy to the one who looks at it. While this picture brings up other emotions. Reality is not fair. Life is not fair. I wish you strength Lenny and may your other children, family, nearest and extended, and friends fill your heart with joy.
Looking at the menora is something new for us. Actually, we first learned something about that when we got to know you Lenny. Last year I bought Noah here a book about Hanukkah from the Rookie read about series. I remember Noah reading it (it’s written in a very easy English) and being surprised that there are children who celebrate other Holidays than we do. In Spain or in Germany I have never met Jewish people, or at least I didn’t notice. I think this is one of the greatest facts about the United States that so many different people can live together in one country, what a great nation! In Spain or in Germany most people are Catholic, well going to church. I remember when we read the book last year Noah suggested we should rather go to a “Jewish church” instead because the kids get presents for 8 days 🙂 I post you a picture of that day, it’s almost exactly one year ago.https://plus.google.com/104453238780468758483/posts One year has passed…not one day I didn’t think of you and Noah and your family. Even though I don’t celebrate Hanukkah, I’m thinking of your family during Hanukkah. It’s hard to be missing someone you love even more so this time of year.
